About us
At Connect Language Services we are committed to fostering meaningful connections while maintaining the personalised, high-quality service that has been our hallmark since the beginning.
Connect Language Services, originally established as Brian Cross Language Services, has a rich history spanning more than 20 years.
For 10 years, Moira and Georgina have worked with the company, contributing to its success and building their expertise. In January 2024, they took over the business following Brian Cross' retirement.
With deep respect for its legacy and a shared passion for connecting people through language, Moira and Georgina continue to build on the strong foundation of long-standing commitment to quality and professionalism laid by Brian. The are proud to be leading the company into an exciting new chapter.
About Moira
Originally from the UK, with a degree in Social Anthropology and an advanced TEFL/TESOL qualification. My diverse professional background - from managing film sales in London to teaching university students and professionals in Lille - has shaped my approach to cross-cultural communication and education.
Outside work, I'm dedicated to my family (husband and three sons) and the proud owner of a lively whippet who keeps me on my toes. I'm also committed to my community, leading an English club in Lille for children and families since 2014. As a board member for a local non-profit organisation, I enjoy fostering connections between schools and neighbourhoods.
In my free time, I love running, cycling, reading, and indulging my passion for cinema and jewellery-making. Whether it's in the classroom, the community, or at home, I'm driven by a love for learning and helping others grow.
About Georgina
Born in Wales, I am a passionate and dedicated English language trainer with over 10 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language in business contexts across Lille, as well as 8 years in administrative and customer service roles in finance and education. A CELTA-certified instructor with a degree in American Studies (History & Politics) from the University of Kent, I bring a global perspective to my work, having spent a year studying abroad at the University of Massachusetts, USA. Specialising in creating and adapting curricula to meet diverse professional needs, I am committed to helping individuals and teams achieve their communication goals with confidence and clarity.
Outside of work, I'm a proud wife, mum, (and mum-taxi) to two children and Chewbacca, our slightly crazy Griffon Vendéen. I love music, and play the piano, violin and guitar as well as sing in most of my lessons (sorry not sorry). I also enjoy staying active through running, gym workouts and participating in charity events—all while embracing the humor and challenges of family life.
We are really proud to be supported by a small team of dedicated language trainers. Our team are selected for providing professional, friendly, and personalised service as well as being passionate about helping learners achieve their goals in ESL (English as a Second Language) and FLE (French as a Foreign Language).
